The day dawned clear, and the bright sunshine and cool summer breeze on the green grass of the lawns at Maleny Arts Retreat Gallery on Australia day. What a happy relief to see fine weather after a dramatic and sometimes tragic start to 2011 in Queensland.

Everyone enjoyed a very laid back afternoon on the lawns of Maleny Arts Retreat. Wandering in and out of Gary Myers Gallery indulging in the visual feast and tasting and sampling relishes and chutneys, fine wines, teas and coffee. We reclined on our picnic rugs and chairs listening to the mellow strains of the Consultants of Swing. A great way to relax on a clear and warm Sunday afternoon.

The Gallery provided a wonderful backdrop for four talented musicians who had the crowd up and dancing. Good food and fine wine capped off a perfect weekend.
